Gas & Electric Utility

This international project included the assessment of all wide area network infrastructures, multiple call centers, and support requirements. This project, for a utility in Newcastle, England, was to conduct an assessment of all voice/data systems and network, along with all associated applications and contracts. The results of this project identified efficiencies and the cost saving opportunity was over $10M.

Financial Services Company

The team conducted an inventory, assessment and Request for Proposal process to converge local and wide area network services. This project, for a large 200 location financial services company, provided a functional database of all services and identified substantial monthly savings. Additionally, more than $700,000 in billing errors were identified and recovered.

Medical Device Company

The mission was to develop a strategic telecommunications enterprise plan that would support current and planned information technology requirements. The plan included the support of voice, data and multimedia internetworking between sites, remote clients and employees. The plan outlined application drivers, business opportunities and technology convergence.

Internet Data Centers (IDC)

This project included the design and building of five Internet data centers throughout Latin America. Each site has approximately 60,000 square feet of raised floor and supports hosting, co-location, tele-housing, peering and storage. Responsibilities included application review, system design and integration planning, infrastructure design and acquisition, voice processing system design and acquisition, contract negotiation, data center layout design, NOC planning and coordination, wide area network planning, entrance facility design, architectural, electrical and mechanical coordination and project management.

National Law Firm

The objective of this project was to provide ongoing project management and operations support for all telecommunications services and systems within this large, geographically dispersed organization. This includes project management of new equipment acquisitions such as PBX, voice mail systems, and remote user connectivity systems and the implementation of all voice and data networks.

National Office Solutions Company

Consultants conducted a network inventory and assessment for 175 locations in 12 states. Responsibilities included coordinating with vendors and on-site contacts to conduct an accurate inventory of all telecommunications services, identifying savings opportunities and unused services, initiating processes for vendor credits and identifying sites not converted to the appropriate corporate contract accounts. This project identified annual savings of $129,000.
