AT&T and WildBlue Expand Satellite Access Service

AT&T announced an expansion of its broadband satellite service across its 22-state wireline footprint. The service is offered in partnership with WildBlue Communications.

Control long-term telecom contracts.

Since prices and plans change often, long-term contracts can be unfavorable. Most carrier contracts are three years – try for 2 years with options to extend. Additionally, target lower volume commitment levels to give optimal flexibility. There can be financial trade offs, but these strategies can provide the most flexibility to ensure cost effective network services over the term.
